Give a street cat a chance

Please bear in mind that these cats live on the street until shortly before adoption. This means that they may have a chronic disease. If there are already cats in your household, let us know at first contact. There are diseases that are harmless to humans and dogs, but contagious among cats. For adoption, every cat must first be examined by a vet, vaccinated and chipped. Due to the high costs, we can only carry out some examinations when it is relatively sure that the cat will be adopted. If you are interested in a particular cat, please contact us by email, and we will discuss all further details.

You should also have enough patience for the process of adapting to the new home.

Some cats adapt in a few days, others are afraid of people due to bad experiences and need several weeks to integrate into the new family. Some cats born in the wild are too wild to be kept in a flat. Therefore, on this page you will find only a small part of the animals that live here on the street.

An adoption is a huge responsibility.

Street cats are often already adult animals, often not the most beautiful ones and sometimes a bit more complicated. But they are the ones who need your help more than any others. Often the "ugly ducklings" turn out to be the most beautiful ones once they have found a loving home. An adoption should be a lifelong compromise. If you are not sure whether you want to or can make this compromise, we can advise you and explain the costs (e.g. food, vet,...) and consequences (obligations, holidays,...). However, you should refrain from adopting as long as you are not one hundred percent sure.
